Silver Arrow (Lehning)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Silberpfeil - In the wild west was a comic that was published from 1957 to 1960 by Walter Lehning Verlag . The draftsman of the comic, whose title character was an Indian, was initially Benedetto Resio , then Walter Kellermann .

The comic series was published in piccolo format in black and white. According to the publisher, the edition was 110,000 copies per issue. The first copies of the series were reprinted from 1985 to 1992 by the Comic Club Hannover, later the Dargatz Verlag continued the reprints and added some adventures drawn by Kellermann to the series. The first issues were reprints of the Italian series The Red Eagle , which was published by Walter Lehning Verlag in 1953 and 1954, with a modified cover picture drawn by Hansrudi Wäscher . Since the Italian licensor had completed the original series with Volume 51, Lehning decided to continue the series after Volume 50 with its own draftsmen, so that Kellermann replaced Resio. Kellermann had previously adapted the content of the Italian original to the needs of Walter Lehning Verlag.
