Former clay pit |

The Silbersee is a former clay pit in the city of Celle in the district of Celle . The lake is located in the southern Lüneburg Heath between the Celle districts of Vorwerk and Garßen . It is fed by underground springs.
The lake is used as a bathing lake and is partially surrounded by a campsite . There are several sandy beaches and lawns on the shore. The banks are flattened in the beach areas. There are some trees on the bank. Sanitary facilities, a restaurant and a snack bar as well as leisure activities are available.
