The Sildemower See is located south of the village of Sildemow the community Pape village in the district of Rostock near the southern city limits of Rostock . The lake has a north-south extension of about 430 meters and a largest west-east extension of about 330 meters. At the northern end of the access road to Sildemow there is a bathing area with a lawn. On the east bank of the lake, a housing estate was built in the 2000s on the former site of a stable.
The lake is a popular fishing destination.
