The Boocksee is located west of the Liepen district of the Thelkow municipality in the Rostock district . The lake has a north-south extension of about 390 meters and a west-east extension of about 170 meters. The southern shore of the lake is formed by a 10 meter high slope, which is covered with coniferous forest.
