The magazine Silent World is a bimonthly magazine for scuba diving from Terra Oceanis Verlag in Kiel . The focus is on underwater images.

The magazine Silent World appeared for the first time at the water sports fair boot in January 2008; since January 2009 it has appeared four times a year, since 2011 it has appeared six times a year. The print run is 30,000 copies, the sold run 16,301 (IVW 3/13).

The magazine has been published since 2009 in cooperation with the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). 15,000 printed copies (since 2012, previously 10,000) were sent directly as free individual delivery to new diving students who completed one of the courses Discover Scuba Diving (DSD), Scuba Diver (SD) or Open Water Diver (OWD) at PADI . These copies have been provided with the PADI logo and the imprint “powered by PADI”.

Since the beginning of 2014, the magazine has been cooperating with Scuba Schools International (SSI) instead of PADI . Since then, 15,000 copies of each issue have gone to the German section of the diving training organization.
