Silja Kanerva (born January 28, 1985 in San Diego , United States ) is a former Finnish sailor .
successes
Silja Kanerva took part in the 2012 Olympic Games in London with Mikaela Wulff as a crew member of helmsman Silja Lehtinen in the boat class Elliott 6m . In the regatta held in the Match Race , the Finnish boat qualified for the quarter-finals as fifth in the group stage. After a victory against the US boat, the Finns lost to Australia, but prevailed against Russia in the final duel for the bronze medal. In the same year she became world champion in this boat class with Lehtinen and Wulff in Gothenburg .
