Silja Lehtinen (born November 5, 1985 in Helsinki ) is a former Finnish sailor .

successes

Silja Lehtinen took eleventh place in the Yngling boat class at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing . At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 she took part with Silja Kanerva and Mikaela Wulff as crew members in the boat class Elliott 6m . In the regatta held in the Match Race , the Finnish boat qualified for the quarter-finals as fifth in the group stage. After a victory against the US boat, the Finns lost to Australia, but prevailed against Russia in the final duel for the bronze medal. In the same year she became world champion in this boat class with Kanerva and Wulff in Gothenburg , after she had won bronze in 2008.
