Silveiros is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese district of Barcelos . The community had 1185 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
As part of the territorial reform on September 29, 2013 , the municipalities of Silveiros and Rio Covo (Santa Eulália) were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Silveiros e Rio Covo (Santa Eulália) . Silveiros is the seat of this newly formed community.
