Silvestre Selva Sacasa

Silvestre Selva Sacasa (* 1800 in León (Nicaragua) ; † unknown) was Director Supremo (Head of State) of Nicaragua from December 16, 1844 to January 20, 1845 .

Life

He was a member of the Partido Legitimista . His daughter was Lorenza Selva Estrada. A descendant was Roberto Sacasa Sarria .

1844 Guerra de Malespín

León (Nicaragua) was attacked and besieged in the Guerra de Malespín by troops from Honduras, El Salvador and the Partido Legitimista . José Francisco del Montenegro and Juan Ruiz envoy were envoy from Rivas and Granada near Malespín, respectively . The legation brokered the creation of a new government without the consent of the besieged León. Silvestre Selva Sacasa proposed to be made Director Supremo by Malespín and allies .

Silvestre Selva Sacasa became Director Supremo in Masaya , where the Partido Legitimista was staying.
