Simón Limón

Simón Limón (born February 22, 1990 in Essen ; real name Simon Amaru Castro Mendoza) is a German - Peruvian award-winning chef , cookbook author , actor .

Life

From 2008 to 2010 Simón was a member of the Essen "Theater Courage". He began his apprenticeship as a chef in 2012 at the Bielefeld restaurant Salvadors and continued it at the Sheraton Hotel in Essen. Since 2016 he has been head chef at the Peruvian restaurant Chicha in Berlin , which was awarded a toque and 14 Gault-Millau points for 2019 . Simón became known in 2016 with his concept “Puro Corazón” as a finalist in the television format Caravan of Chefs with Tim Mälzer and Roland Trettl , which was broadcast on Sat.1 .

Simón Limón is the son of the Peruvian author Melacio Castro Mendoza.
