The Simler Snowfield is a snowfield on the Graham Coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is northeast of Holtedahl Bay .
Aerial photos by Hunting Aerosurveys Ltd. from 1956 to 1957 were used by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey for mapping. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the snow field in 1959 after the Swiss theologian and regional historian Josias Simler (1530–1576), who in 1574 wrote the first useful guide to climbing glaciers .
