Simon - witness the future (. Fr. Simon du Fleuve ) is a French-Belgian science fiction - comic book series , the first of Claude Auclair was texted and drawn. The second cycle from volume 6 onwards was written by Alain Riondet . The stories appeared from 1973 to 1989.

content

At first Simon is a lonely wanderer in a depopulated Europe after a war. The people live nomadically in tribes and are exposed to attacks by gangs of thieves or the rulers of the country who hide in the ruins of the cities. Simon can achieve the liberation of some enslaved people. Simon's mission is to destroy the radiation weapons laboratory. He finally succeeds. On his travels he meets his future wife Emeline, with whom he has two daughters. Later he became active as a seaman.

publication

The first story, La Ballade de Cheveu Rouge , was published in Tintin magazine in 1973 ; there was no official album, just a pirated print. From 1976 onwards, the stories previously published in Tintin were printed by Le Lombard . From volume 6 there was no longer any prior publication.

In Germany, the albums were published by Carlsen Verlag from 1983 .
