Simon Bärtschi

Simon Bärtschi (* 1969 ) is a Swiss journalist and has been editor-in-chief of the BZ Berner Zeitung since 2019 .

Bärtschi studied geography at the University of Bern before entering news journalism. From 2001 to 2003 he was editor at the Aargauer Zeitung in Baden, then news editor and news chief (from 2007) of the SonntagsZeitung at Tamedia in Zurich, and in 2010 he became deputy editor-in-chief of the SonntagsZeitung . In 2016/2017 Bärtschi was a member of the editors-in-chief of the Tages-Anzeiger and the SonntagsZeitung in Zurich.
