Simon Badjie (born September 6, 1979 in Milan , Italy ; also Simon Barjie ) is a former Gambian football player ,

Earlier stages of his career were the clubs Solbiatese Arno Calcio (1995–1997), Como Calcio (1997–1999) and AC Pro Sesto (1999–2004), a club from the city of Sesto San Giovanni near Milan .

Badjie is a fast player who can be deployed on the entire left side, he weighs 74 kg and is 1.79 m tall. Son of an Italian mother and a Gambian father, he is also an Italian citizen , which allows him to compete in the Gambian national team as well as in the entire European Union. He is enrolled at the Faculty of Scienze Motorie (in German about science of physical exercise ) of the Università Cattolica of Milan. In the private television channel Canale 5 he took on a small role in " Benedetti dal Signore " at the side of Ezio Greggio and Enzo Iacchetti . His dream is one day to be able to take part in the Africa Cup for his country , a dream that fell apart in 2007 when Gambia narrowly lost a qualifying match.
