Simon Kastner

Simon Kastner , also Castner , († February 27, 1442 ) was a Bavarian Benedictine .

Life

Kastner was elected 33rd abbot of Ebersberg monastery in 1412 . He opposed the monastic reformation that began with the world and was deposed by the visitors . On the intercession of Duke Ludwig , he could remain in office until 1442.
