Simon Libsig
Simon Libsig (* 1977 in Ennetbaden ) is a Swiss writer and spoken word artist.
life and work
Simon Libsig grew up in Ennetbaden . After high school, he studied political science in Zurich and Paris . At first he worked as a journalist at Swiss Radio DRS, among others, before becoming a freelance writer.
For years he has performed regularly at poetry slam events in Switzerland and neighboring countries, and has been on tour with changing stage programs since 2006, currently with everyday monsters - eating and being eaten , together with Nicolas d'Aujourd'hui .
Audio, video and text columns appear regularly. In his pieces and texts, Simon Libsig describes scenes and people from everyday life and thus deals with the perception of one's own identity, the drafting of life plans and the friction between perception of others and self.
In addition to appearances and journalistic publications, Libsig regularly publishes sound carriers and books with his texts. He often works with other artists, such as Daniel Hildebrand , Max Lässer or Stephan Liechti .
Simon Libsig teaches in writing promotion and storytelling workshops, for example in the canton of Aargau at “Kultur macht Schule” or at the Swiss Text Academy.
In 2003 he founded the spoken word stage “Metabolism” in Baden and has curated the program to this day.
His first novel Leichtes Kribbeln was published in 2014 by Oltner Knapp Verlag . The focus is on Mark Morgan, child of wealthy parents, from whose perspective the author analyzes a family crisis and a divided village community.
