The Knapp Verlag is a 2005 founded Swiss book publisher . It emerged from the Textwerkstatt publishing house founded by Thomas Knapp , which published bestsellers on burnout .

The “Solothurn Classics” series is dedicated to forgotten authors from the Canton of Solothurn ; it includes works by Olga Brand , Hans Derendinger , Alfred Hartmann , Joseph Joachim , Cécile Lauber , Felix Moeschlin , Otto Walter and Bernhard Wyss .

In the fictional "Perlen-Reihe" the publisher published works by Hanspeter Betschart , Bänz Friedli , Frölein Da Capo , Peter Probst , Wolfgang Bortlik , Thomas C. Breuer , Alex Capus , Franz Hohler , Ulrich Knellwolf , Simon Libsig and Perikles Monioudis , Emil Steinberger (merged with Edition E ), Rhaban Straumann and Franco Supino .

In 2014 it was the only publisher in the canton to take part in the Frankfurt Book Fair .
