Franco Supino

Franco Supino (born July 27, 1965 in Solothurn ) is a Swiss writer .

Supino, raised bilingually as the son of Italian parents, studied German and Romance languages at the universities of Zurich and Florence . Between 1983 and 1990 he wrote several features , radio stories and a radio play for the Swiss radio station DRS . Supino's first novel Musica Leggera was published in 1995. He has since published five more novels, two of which are dedicated to the fate of artists: “Ciao amore, ciao” is based on the biography of the singer Dalida , while “The Other Life” is the last few weeks in the playwright's life Cäsar von Arx themed. Supino also writes for children and young people. The two SJW volumes, Die Poacher der Maremma and Linas Stein, and the large-scale youth novel Wasserstadt , which is based on Gotthelf material and a current construction project in Solothurn and for which it has received several awards, bear witness to this . The story "Hau ab, Bruderherz" is aimed at young people from the age of 12 and deals with the subject of the flight of minors. Mino and the child robbers tells an exciting story with historical reference for children aged 8 and up. The relationship between Chiara and her Nonno Mino remains after his death - thanks to stories - preserved.

Franco Supino is a lecturer at the FHNW University of Education .
