history
When it was founded in 1983, the publishing program consisted in equal parts of contemporary Swiss fiction and international children's and youth literature. The first bestsellers appeared as early as 1985: Eveline Hasler's novel Ibicaba and Lukas Hartmann's novel From the Inside of the Medium . After the sale to Carl Hanser Verlag , Martin Dreyfus headed the publishing house for a short time in 1999; From 2000 to June 2018, Dirk Vaihinger , until then editor at Rowohlt Verlag , was the publisher.
