Enrique Vila-Matas (born March 31, 1948 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish writer .

Enrique Vila-Matas has written ten novels since 1973, as well as numerous short stories and essays, which have been translated into 39 languages ​​and have received multiple awards. Vila-Matas now lives and works in Barcelona. In France he was made Knight of the Legion of Honor in 2007 and Officier des Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in 2013.
