FIL Prize
The FIL Prize , officially Premio FIL de Literatura en Lenguas Romances , is one of the most important Latin American literary prizes. It is endowed with US $ 150,000 and has been awarded at the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) since 1991 to authors who publish in Romance languages . It was originally named after the Mexican writer Juan Rulfo ; after disputes with the author's heirs, this designation was dropped from 2006.
