Erwin Koch (born November 12, 1956 in Hitzkirch ) is a Swiss journalist and writer .

Life

Erwin Koch has a doctorate in law. He worked from 1984 to 1990 as an editor and from 2002 to 2006 as a reporter for Das Magazin des Tages-Anzeiger . In between he wrote u. a. for Die Zeit , Geo , Brigitte and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung Magazin . From 1999 to 2002 he was a reporter for Spiegel . He has been working as a freelance reporter since 2007. He last published volumes with reports from all over the world in 2011 and 2013. The spectrum of topics ranges from existential experiences of illness, death, separation to the tragic search for self-determination, for example those emigrated Uyghurs who mistakenly ended up in the Guantanamo prison camp in 2001.
