Simone Berteaut
Simone Berteaut (born May 29, 1916 in Lyon , † May 30, 1975 ) was a French author. She has authored several books on Édith Piaf . The two women had known each other as street singers since their youth.
Sometimes it was spread - especially by Berteaut himself - that she was the half-sister of Piaf, from whom she was called Mômone . But this does not correspond to the facts. Rather, both were linked by a long, changeable, but friendly relationship.
