Simultaneous church of the Rheinische Kliniken Langenfeld

The Simultankirche Galkhausen - also called LVR-Klinik-Kirche - in Langenfeld - Reusrath , locality Galkhausen , is a church for the two major denominations .

To the building

In the middle of a central axis through the area from the B 8 towards the northeast, lies the institutional church, a place of worship for both denominations, called Simultankirche or Simultaneum . It offers 300 seats and, because it serves both denominations, is equipped with two sacristies , an altar , pulpit and organ . Your three Bochum cast steel bells ring beautifully , the chronicler noted at the inauguration of the church. There is also a clock in the tower that strikes the full, half and quarter hours. The first service in the simultaneous church , which is now a listed building , was held on November 30, 1902.

The memorial plaque of the church, which was awarded in 2002, also notes the choir windows from the turn of the century (to the 20th century), which depict the passage to Emmaus, as a special feature. The well-preserved steel bells, cast in 1901, also occupy a prominent position in the Rhenish bell landscape. A renovation of the slate roof and the restoration of the painting are also noted. In addition, in 2002 repair work was carried out on the bells and the reinstallation of a tower clock .
