SCP ( S ingle User C ontrol P rogram ) was a CP / M -compatible operating system in the GDR between machines. It was developed by Kombinat Robotron .

There were variants for 8-bit (e.g. SCP1526) and 16-bit processors (e.g. SCP1700). The user software was interchangeable with that of other SCP systems of the same processor type, provided the programs do not make any direct hardware access. In this way, Western programs (especially office software) could also be used, which made SCP a popular office computer operating system of its time. SCP was also available for home computers such as the KuB 64K .
