Sinus Amoris is a small, bay-like mare on Mare Tranquillitatis on the Earth's moon . The Latin name means Bay of Love in German and was officially established by the International Astronomical Union in 1976.
Sinus Amoris has an average diameter of 190 kilometers and extends 250 kilometers from the northeast edge of the Mare Tranquillitatis. In the north are the Römer crater and the Montes Taurus , in the east the Lacus Bonitatis and the Macrobius crater and southeast the Palus Somni .
