sipgate is an Internet telephony provider based in Germany , operated by sipgate GmbH, Düsseldorf. Sipgate is also available in the UK and was represented in the US from June 2009 to October 2013. The service in Austria ended on December 31, 2013.

The core business of the company is the mediation of domestic and international calls. The users can telephone with all SIP -compatible devices, such as B. with VoIP telephones, softphones and via adapter also with analog or DECT telephones. Internal network calls are free of charge, connections via SIP address are not supported.

sipgate offers phone numbers from all German local networks and - depending on the respective product - from abroad. Customers can also send SMS and faxes via sipgate.

Sipgate supports HD telephony so far only with satellite. It is also possible with team in direct routing with a compatibility option.

In October 2014, the company was blackmailed and disrupted with DDoS attacks . More than 200,000 customer connections were affected.

With the virtual network operator sipgate Wireless GmbH (founded as Vintage Wireless Networks ), sipgate has had its own mobile network since 2012, which accesses and uses the technical infrastructure of Telefonica . The sipgate mobile phone services, which can be reached via local phone numbers and mobile phone numbers, are handled by the subsidiary.

sipgate addresses private and corporate customers with various VoIP products and services:

sipgate basic: offers VoIP telephony for private customers for SIP-enabled telephones or adapters, as well as pre-configured softphones. The fee-free functions can be supplemented by chargeable functions in a “feature store”.
sipgate team: is an internet-based telephone system for corporate customers. It supports distributed locations. With the "team mobile radio" variant, SIM cards including eSIM are available for company cell phones, which are also managed via the telephone system.
sipgate trunking: connects VoIP-capable telephone systems to the telephone network via broadband.
simquadrat: is a mobile phone tariff, the SIM cards including eSIM can be reached under a local phone number and a mobile phone number, the server-side services can be upgraded with additional functions in a "feature store".
satellite: is an app for smartphones and tablets with their own mobile number, which makes mobile telephony independent of a SIM card and combines the advantages of mobile telephony such as HD audio, VoLTE, WLAN calling and international accessibility under a German mobile number without roaming charges.
sipgate.io: transfers the call information to a URL via programming interfaces . The XML -based answer to this can be influenced individually. The REST and REST / RTCM API can be used free of charge as part of the sipgate accounts. The WebHook calls are charged per call.

CLINQ: Telephony solution for companies in the browser with a variety of connections to customer relationship management systems (CRM) such as Salesforce.com and Google.
