description

The Siraui has a single-edged, slightly curved, pointed blade. The blade tapers from the handle to the location . The cutting edge lies on the convex side of the blade. The blade has neither a central ridge nor a hollow grind. The handle is carved from wood, slightly curved towards the pommel and thicker towards the end. The scabbards are made from one piece and usually widened at the mouth hole , protruding and carved with leaf-shaped decorations. There are different versions that differ in terms of equipment. Another knife from this region is the Tumbok Lada . The Siraui is used by ethnic groups in Sumatra.
