Szirmiensis de Karom et Szulyov is a Hungarian noble family from Trenčín County .

history

Sebastian Bornemissza (called Abstemius) from Syrmia , where the name Syrmiensis comes from , appears as the first known ancestor . He was first a faithful king Johann Zápolya , later on the side of I. King Ferdinand and was in 1549 as Kameralrath to Bratislava appointed. In 1554, under King Ferdinand I, he acquired the Szulyo and Hradna estates in Trenschen County .

Sebastian's son Theodosius Sirmiensis de Karom et Szulyo was appointed Vicegespan of Trenčín in 1593 and Vicepalatine in 1624 . He had five sons. The families Syrmiensis and Szulyovszky descend from these.

The Sirmiensis are related to noble families such as Bossanyi, Sándor , Benyovszky, Apponyi , Raksanyi, Visky (noble family) , Hellenbach , Revay and Ürmenyi.
