Sirutor

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sirutor is an outdated trade name from Siemens for a copper oxide rectifier . The Sirutor consists of several rectifiers connected in series .

Before 1945, this was also the name of a semiconductor type that was also used for measuring rectifiers and radio rectifier circuits . Due to its low price, the Sirutor was still used in many do-it-yourself radio detector devices until the 1950s, although it actually provided too little reception.
