Ska jazz
Ska-Jazz is a variant of Ska that is based on traditional jazz schemes and is often purely instrumental .
Proven ska jazz bands are often among the most virtuoso representatives of the genre, even if their commercial success lags behind the "hit suppliers" from ska pop or 2-tone , since many find ska jazz difficult to access.
Structurally, ska jazz is based on classical, school jazz, i. This means that in a song mostly all instruments get their solo parts, classical quotations are used or important classics are interpreted (not just covered ).
