New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble
New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble is a ska jazz band from New York City ( USA ) founded in 1994 .
The band is partly made up of musicians from different countries who have previously played in other well-known groups, such as the Toasters , Skatalites or Scofflaws . They are known for playing ska interpretations of standard jazz pieces. In addition, they also play a mix of dance hall , reggae , rocksteady and jazz .
The band tours regularly through Europe , Canada , USA and South America .
