The Skagit Valley Provincial Park is a protected area ( provincial park ) in the southwest of the Canadian province of British Columbia .

The Skagit Valley Provincial Park extends directly north of the Washington State border and forms together with the North Cascades National Park , Ross Lake National Recreation Area , Lake Chelan National Recreation Area , Manning Provincial Park , Cascade Provincial Recreation Area and the Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park a closed reserve in the north of the cascade range .
The park covers an area of 27,948 acres around the north end of Ross Lake and the valley of the Skagit River , which got its characteristic U-shape from retreating glaciers.
The park can be reached via the Silver / Skagit Road, the 3 km west of Hope on the Trans-Canada Highway opens first From there the dirt road first leads 37 km to the entrance of the park and another 23 km to Ross Lake, where it ends - already on the territory of the United States - at the Hozomeen Campground in the Ross Lake National Recreation Area.
The Ross Lake, whose mean water level is 488 m , is the lowest point in the park, with the Silvertip Mountain ( 2591 m ) the highest point on the park area is reached.

The park is a category II protected area ( nature park ).
The importance of the protected area results from its location in the transition zone between the coastal and the inland zone. There are significant stocks of Great Blue Herons and Kingfishers at Ross Lake , and there are around 200 other bird species.
