Skaha Lake is a lake in southern British Columbia , its inlet and outlet is the Okanogan River . The lake has a surface of 20 km², it has a length of 11.8 km and a maximum width of 2.2 km.
The lake is fed by the Okanagan River, which is channeled in connection with the Okanagan Lakes . The so-called Channel is a popular destination for the residents of Penticton . Penticton Regional Airport is on the north bank of the lake . The lake is accessed from Highway 97 , which runs largely on the west bank of the lake. On the west bank, 13 km south of Penticton, lies the parish of Kaleden . There Highway 3A branches off to Keremeos . At the southern tip of the lake is the community of Okanagan Falls . The outflow of the lake is again the Okanagan River, which flows south to the state border between Canada and the United States .
