Skanderborg Festival
The Skanderborg Festival is a music festival in Denmark that takes place annually on the second weekend of August .
The festival takes place for three days in the deciduous forest of Skanderborg in the Festival Hovedkontor, which is the slogan of the festival "Denmark's most beautiful music festival" ( Danish : Danmarks Smukkeste Festival ). It is also known as the SmukFest . Artists from the genres of rock , pop , blues and heavy metal music. The festival has been held since 1980. In the first year, seven bands performed in front of 600 people. Since 2009, the Skanderborg Festival has been the largest and most successful music event in the country with over 45,000 visitors behind the Roskilde Festival .
