Scopades
The Skopaden ( Greek Σκοπάδαι Skopádai ) were an ancient Greek family that, along with the Aleuads, belonged to the ancient dynasties of Thessaly . During the 6th century BC they ruled the city of Krannon .
The progenitor of the dynasty was Skopas I , who also served as the highest general ( tagos ) of the Thessalian League. With his grandson of the same name, who died after a roof collapsed, the dynasty died around the years 520 to 515 BC. In the male line, while his descendants continued through his granddaughter Dyseris in the "Echekratiden", which were probably a side branch of the Aleuads.
