Skua Island is an island in the Bay of Isles on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located northeast of Prion Island in the entrance to the bay.

The American ornithologist Robert Cushman Murphy mapped them on his trip with the brig Daisy (1912-1913). Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations carried out a geodetic survey of the island from 1929 to 1930. Murphy named them after the alternative name for the great skua ( Stercorarius skua ), to whose breeding areas the island belongs.
