The Skua Lake is a lake on Cape Evans on the Antarctic Ross Island . It is northwest of Island Lake .
Participants of the British Terra Nova Expedition (1910-1913), who had set up their base camp at Cape Evans, gave the lake its name. It is named after a neighboring breeding colony of Antarctic skuas .
