Bernd W. Wirtz

Bernd W. Wirtz (* 1964 in Düsseldorf ) is an economist and university professor for information and communication management at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer .

Career

Wirtz studied business administration in Cologne , London and Dortmund and received his doctorate in the field of strategic management in the media market and habilitation on the subject of success factors in business relationship management at the University of Zurich . From 1999 to 2004 he was a university professor for business administration at the Deutsche Bank chair for corporate management at the University of Witten / Herdecke and a private lecturer for business administration at the University of Zurich. Before starting his scientific career, he worked as a management consultant for Roland Berger & Partners , Munich , and as a manager for Andersen Consulting (Accenture), Strategic Competency Group, Frankfurt am Main .

Since 2004, Bernd Wirtz has held the chair for information and communication management at the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer. He is also an editorial board member of the scientific journals Long Range Planning , the International Journal on Media Management , the Journal of Business Models , the Journal of Media Business Studies , the International Journal of Business Environment , the International Journal of Public Administration , the Public Organization Review and the International Review on Public and Nonprofit Marketing .
