Fuchsmoos sculpture field

The Fuchsmoos sculpture field is an exhibition space for stone and wood sculptures in Piller near Fließ in Tyrol and at the same time a trademark for international sculpture symposia that took place there.

history

The Fuchsmoos sculpture field was created at the 1st international sculpture symposium, which took place on the initiative of the local Tyrolean artist Kassian Erhart . Up to 2005 there were another 9 symposia, from the production of which approx. 30 stone and wood sculptures can be erected and viewed on site.

Since 2008, the sculpture symposium has been relocated to Mandarfen im Pitztal as the "International Stone Carver Symposium Pitztal" , where it previously took place in 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2014, while individual events at the Fuchsmoos sculpture field continue to be held in the summer, especially concerts with sound installations ("music sculptures") occur.

The Fuchsmoos sculpture field is located approx. 2.5 km below the Pillerhöhe on the so-called Piller-Landesstraße between Fließ and Wenns .
