The Wettersbach Sculpture Park is located on the route connecting the Karlsruhe districts of Palmbach and Grünwettersbach next to the L623.

Emergence

The sculpture park in the high-altitude districts of Karlsruhe is created in cooperation with the Wettersbach local authority, the local council, the Kult-Art Wettersbach association and the Bergdorf-Profis association. eV developed and financed. The first work of art was installed in 2009.

Project description

In the park between Palmbach and Grünwettersbach, nature, art, sport and history are combined. The Wettersbach fitness park is also located there. The Palmbach Waldensian Trail also begins in the sculpture park, along which the Waldensian monument “Gate of Arrival” by the artists OMI Riesterer and Barbara Jäger can be seen.

Works of art

  1. The sculpture “Two Birds” by the Karlsruhe artist Georg Schalla was unveiled on July 24, 2009 as the first work of art in the new sculpture park. The work of art was donated by the Kult-Art Wettersbach association.
  2. The sculpture "Capoeira" by Uwe Lindau was unveiled on September 12, 2015 as part of the KA300 district projects in Wettersbach.
  3. The sculpture "Resonanz" by Jürgen Goertz was installed in December 2017. This has been located in the main building of Volksbank Durlach since 1991.
