Sculpture Center in Poland
The Sculpture Center in Poland ( Polish : Centrum Rzeźby Polskiej w Orońsku ) is a museum and sculpture park mainly by Polish sculptors in Orońsko in Mazovia .
history
The Sculpture Center was founded in the former studio of the painter Józef Brandt (1841–1915) in 1965 and taken over and continued in 1992 by the Jozef Brandt Foundation .
The center consists of
- a museum for sculpture with more than 600 works of art, including Ugun (from the War Games series ) from 1995 by the sculptor Magdalena Abakanowicz ,
- Studio rooms for ten sculptors in a former stable building,
- a sculpture park with 73 sculptures and installations by Polish and international artists.
