history

Sky 3D started on October 13, 2010 via satellite and with Kabel BW in regular operation, after a game of the German Bundesliga had previously been broadcast on a test basis. The station was freely available to all customers for 3 months. Since then, the station has been activated for free. The broadcast times were mostly between 11 a.m. and midnight, while trailers were shown during the non-broadcast time. From summer 2013 a one-time activation fee of € 29.90 had to be paid. Sky 3D was discontinued on July 1, 2017.
