Sky Architect is a Dutch progressive rock band from Rotterdam that was founded in 2006.
history
The band was founded in 2006 by guitarist Wabe Wieringa, keyboardist Rik van Honk and drummer Christiaan Bruin. Later guitarist and singer Tom Luchies and bassist Guus van Mierlo joined the band and thus completed the line-up. In 2010 the band reached a contract with Galileo Records , where the band released the debut album Excavations of the Mind in the summer of the same year. Illustrator Mark Wilkinson , who has worked for Marillion , Fish and Judas Priest , designed the cover.
The band's second album was released in 2011 and was called A Dying Man's Hymn .
style
The band plays classic progressive rock, the music being described as a mix of King Crimson , Gentle Giant , The Flower Kings and Porcupine Tree .
