The Sky Austria Fernsehen GmbH based in Vienna is a 100 percent subsidiary of German Sky Germany GmbH and part of Europe's leading entertainment group British Sky Broadcasting. In Austria, Sky is one of the leading private television companies with around 400,000 customers and annual sales of over 170 million euros (as of June 2017). The range of programs consists of live sports, feature films, series, children's programs and documentaries.

Around 100 HD channels and two Ultra HD channels are offered. The sports program includes a. the Austrian Bundesliga and ice hockey league (both on Sky Sport Austria HD), the German Bundesliga, the UEFA Champions League, golf and tennis. Sky offers twelve different film channels with over 80 films of all genres daily, with Sky Atlantic HD a series channel with HBO and Showtime series as well as Sky productions and with Sky 1 an entertainment channel with internationally successful shows such as Masterchef or X-Factor . In addition to the linear program, Sky customers can also order content on demand. In addition, the Sky Ticket streaming service is a flexible offer for those who do not want to commit themselves for long.

Sky Sport Austria HD

In the Sky Sport Austria HD program, all games of the Austrian soccer Bundesliga as well as selected games of the Admiral Basketball Bundesliga and Erste Bank Eishockey Liga are broadcast live. Sky Sport Austria HD is included in the sports package via the classic Sky subscription.
