Sky Corvair was an American emo band from Chicago , Illinois .
Band history
Sky Corvair was founded in 1994 by Tim Kinsella together with musicians from Braid and Gauge as a side project. The band recorded 9 songs and then went on tour. At the end of 1994 Mike Kinsella left the group to concentrate more on his band Cap'n Jazz . Then Alex J. Stisser took over the guitar part and 3 more songs were recorded. Finally the band broke up in mid-1995. The musicians then played in bands such as Braid, Joan of Arc and Traluma . In January 1998, the founding members gave a concert at the Fireside Bowl in Chicago. At this time, a long player with all 12 songs was released on Actionboy Records . There have been no further joint ventures so far.
