Eric Schaeffer

Eric Schaeffer (born January 22, 1962 in New York City ) is an American actor , director , film producer and screenwriter .

Life and accomplishments

Schaeffer grew up in New York's Upper West Side district and studied dramaturgy and dance at Bard College . For years he worked as a taxi driver; During this time he wrote a novel, numerous scripts and two plays. He made his debut both as an actor and as a director and screenwriter in the independent comedy Who Crazy Again from 1993. His second work as a director was the comedy When Lucy Jumps (1996), for which he wrote the screenplay and in which he starring alongside Sarah Jessica Parker . He worked as a director, screenwriter, producer and leading actor in the drama Fall (1997). He combined the direction, the script and the lead role again in the comedy Wirey Spindell (2000). As the director, screenwriter and producer of the comedy Never Again (2001), he deliberately refrained from participating as a performer because he wanted to concentrate on developing the story for Jeffrey Tambor and Jill Clayburgh .
