Slaï (real name Patrice Sylvestre ; born February 10, 1973 in the Val-d'Oise department , France ) is a French singer from Guadeloupe .

biography

Slaï grew up in Guadeloupe and spent his youth there until he moved to Paris with his parents in 1996. He came to music early and in 1998 he landed his first hit with Flamme in the Antilles , which later also became a hit in France.

In 2002 his second album, Slaï , was released, on which songs like La dernière danse and again Flamme were released and which also became hits in France. Due to his permanent presence in the playlists of French radio stations, more and more people became aware of the artist, so that in 2004 his albums were reissued under the title Florilège , on which not only Flamme and La dernière danse but also après la tempête and Ce soir ou jamais published.
