Sleigh ride
Sleigh Ride ( Sleigh Ride ) is a popular orchestral piece of upscale light music . It was composed by Leroy Anderson in the late 1940s. The orchestral version was performed by Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops Orchestra for the first time on May 4, 1948 in the Symphony Hall in Boston and recorded on record in 1949. The text about a person who would like to ride a sleigh with another person on a winter's day when the weather is fine was underlaid by Mitchell Parish in 1950 .
Arrangements for piano for two or four hands are also popular .
Version of The Ronettes
The best-known version is that of the American vocal trio The Ronettes from 1963. The song hit the German and Swiss charts for the first time at Christmas 2018/2019 . In addition, he was able to place himself at number 26 in the US charts in the same year .
