Slokar Quartet
The Slokar Quartet (also: Slokar Trombone Quartet or German Slokar Quartet or Slokar trombone quartet ) is a trombone quartet from Switzerland . Today it consists of Branimir Slokar , Wassil Christov , Armin Bachmann and György Gyivicsan , who replaces ex-member Edgar Manyak .
The quartet was founded in 1973 by Branimir Slokar and interprets works from the early baroque to the modern . The ensemble worked with various composers of contemporary trombone literature such as Jörg Ewald Dähler or Jan Koetsier as well as with music producers in the crossover genre, such as Jochen Rieger in 1999 for his concept project Faszination Trosaune . In addition, the quartet released several of their own albums and appeared on radio and television.
